About Nina, the pro makeup artist
Nina Westbury is a professional makeup artist who has worked with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Queen Rania of Jordan, Diana Krall, Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams, David Cameron, Jackie Weaver, Serena Williams, David Tennant, Josh Hartnett, Maya Angelou, Danny Boyle and more. She’s renowned for her precise technique and her keen wit – making clients and celebrities instantly at ease and creating a flawless look. She’s particularly skilled at high definition makeup for television and film having worked for Sky News in London, one of Europe’s most popular news stations.
Nina was the makeup designer for the BAFTA nominated ‘Infernos’ short film early in her career. She has worked alongside leading industry experts such as Sylvie Chantecaille and was received personal training by Laura Mercier.
What makes Nina stand out among celebrity makeup artists is her ability to teach clients how to create their own best look at home. She spent two years as a makeup instructor at London’s Kingston College where she helped develop the curriculum. She shares insider pro tricks and makes what can be intimidating to some, fun and exciting. Her enthusiasm for beauty is infectious! Nina has been producing makeup Face Charts and promoting them through social media to make it easier for her Clients to produce the looks at home. The Face Charts range from the lastest Colour Collections to Celebrity inspired to original fun looks.
Nina was also the makeup designer for Wimbledon Tennis Championships for five years making up hosts, guests and players in studio and on location. Nina has been working with Dave Lackie editor of BEAUTY the Guide hosting makeup events both live and virutally through the means of Social Media. It helps her reach target audience at home where she advises individuals on how to apply makeup and new products to try. Nina has appeared on Cityline, Canada's longest and succesful daytime TV show as a beauty expert as well as Breakfast Television in Vancouver sharing beauty tips and tricks. Nina had one of the strongest beauty twitter followings in Canada of any makeup artist whilst living in Canada and has moved back to London where she will continue working.
